The Sub Shop: Fresh, Flavorful Subs & Gluten-Free Options in Caro, MI

Some of the freshest sandwiches in town. The meats and vegetables are cut fresh and the steak is fresh and only goes on the grille when you order, unlike Subway which it is precooked in a factory(not even actually steak) and refrigerated weeks in advance.

The food was great! I got ½ a turkey sub & it was giant, I was only able to eat half of it! My daughter has celiacs and ordered a turkey on gluten free bread and was very happy with it. She also got a piece of gluten free carrot cake which was equally as good Their gluten free options include any of their subs on either GF bread/wrap, pasta salad, potato salad, carrot cake, and chocolate chip cookies. There may be more, but that's all I noticed. My 4 yr old didn't want anything but was super happy to play in the cutest little kitchen set up for little ones! Thank you so much for offering gluten free options! It is impossible to find in this area and means so much to my daughter!

Had shaved turkey on sourdough, and it was fantastic! Great atmosphere and the owners actually talk to the customers. Something I don't see everywhere is lobster salad and it was just perfect. Great balance and great taste. Right on Main Street too! Great values for the money as well.

The Caro Sub Shop is absolutely amazing! Their subs are always fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor, and the portions are more than generous. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and provides outstanding customer service every time. It’s clear they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a place with quality food, a great atmosphere, and fast, reliable service, this is the spot. Easily the best subs around!

My husband and I had the #9, the Mac and Cheese, and a strawberry-banana smoothie. It was all amazing. The smoothie was light and fresh and my husband raved about the crispness of the veggies and the flavor of the meeting. It’s my husband’s new lunch spot. We also tested the coffee and it was amazing.

The staff is very friendly and care about the food, quality, and dining experience. The food itself is very good. When I go to a locally owned business that serves food, I always expect the quality to exceed what you would get from similar fast food. The Sub Shop squashes any similar competition. I will definitely return and try another menu item! The Chicken Philly was delicious!

We drove through Caro on our way to Caseville. The Sub Shop had amazing reviews so we tried it. Honestly, probably two of the best subs we have ever had. We got the Philly Cheesesteak and Philly Chicken and both were so delicious. Also, their blueberry pomegranate smoothie was so refreshing and tasty.

Hands down the best gluten free carrot cake & cookies around! My daughter and I have celiac so it’s hard finding good gf foods to eat around here. They wiped down surfaces, and had separate preparations for our food to not be cross contaminated. Service & food was excellent and we will definitely be back!
